Procedure

If you're looking to take your first steps, here's how to start.

1 Read up on the important stuff. Rules and setting information should tell you all you need to know about what we're doing and how to do it. Read the crew, passengers and openings thread to see what roles are open for play.

2 Fill in the application form found below. There are two versions presented here. One is the precoded form for you to just fill in. The other is a small guide to the form to help clear up anything you may be uncertain about.

If you wish, you may use a different format, provided:
You make sure you address everything in the regular format;
There is a sample post;
You end with the confirmation that you're over 18 and agree to follow the board rules.

3 Post your application as a new thread in the Applications forum with your character's name as the topic title in the format first name, then last name.

4 Once your application is submitted, it should take no longer than 24 hours for the staff to get back to you with either an acceptance, rejection or request for edits. Requests for edits will be sent by PM.

Notes

We are an original characters only board. No canon characters, no relatives of canon characters.

The current character limit is two characters per person. If you stay active with two characters, then we will be happy to allow you to take on more.

Please do not embellish the application form for decorative purposes. If, however, there's something you feel I should know that isn't covered by any of the sections on the form, feel free to add a note at either the beginning or the end.

Keep the setting in mind. No overly angsty backstories, try to avoid overly Earth-y names.

If you wish to have your character have any major secrets that you don’t want to be visible to others in your bio, but which you may want to mention later, or use as story events, please let me know when you email your application. If you think of something once you have already been accepted that you might want to use later, please let me know as soon as you can.

At most, we will be allowing one force sensitive character per ship. If you play a force sensitive character, we would prefer someone inexperienced. A Jedi Master who survived Order 66 would probably not be tramping around the galaxy on a smuggling ship, after all.

Application Form Guide

give your character's name here. Most Star Wars characters don't have standard Earth names, so try to avoid them

Species: what species is your character?
Gender: is your character male or female?
Age: how old is your character? Take species into account
Role: What does your character do aboard the ship they're on?

Skills and Abilities: What is your character good at?

Notable Equipment: What equipment does your character own or carry?

Force Sensitive: Is your character Force Sensitive?

General Appearance:What does your character look like? Only needs to be a couple of sentences

Face Claim: If appropriate, who will you be using to represent your character?

Personality: How does your character behave? What do they believe?

History: What has happened to your character? What have they done?
